Vocation

Jesus was a carpenter......did he only build christian furniture?

Paul the Apostle was a tentmaker...... did he only make " christian tents"?

The afore mentioned are vocations. I agree that being a singer/songwriter is a vocation.
on the other hand what a songwriter writes about comes from deep within the soul or at least it does for me........I think this is the key here that makes the singer/songwriter vocation different.
I believe as a songwriter my songs reveal who i am at a gut level........how i feel about the issues i write about. I suppose the point being........what i write should reveal my passion.......and God has given me a passion for his word and the gospel.........so that is what i tend to write about.......for a singer/songwriter who is a christian to think they can divorce their beliefs from the songs they write to me seems impossible.........why would they even want to.........Does that make sense?
